During World War II (WWII), with the end of Nazi Germany imminent, Gunsche was ordered by Adolf Hitler on April 30th, 1945 to make certain of the cremation of his body after his death. He verified the death of Hitler and mistress Eva Braun after their suicide, and burned their bodies with gasoline. Gunsche was subsequently imprisoned until 1956, and passed away in 2003 at the age of 86. Important Added Info: Note that this photo has been personally autographed (signed) by Otto Gunsche! Our consignor has been an autograph dealer since 1972, and he examines and compares autographs to known examples, and he is certain this autograph is authentic, although he does not have a certificate of authenticity.
