An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) Human Cargo, the 1936 Allan Dwan smuggling-of-aliens-and-drugs newspaper reporter journalism crime comedy (based on the novel by Kathleen Shepard; about a dedicated journalist and a ditzy society reporter, who join forces to expose a group of smugglers) starring Claire Trevor, Brian Donlevy, Alan Dinehart, Ralph Morgan, Helen Troy, and Rita Hayworth (sixth billed, under her real name of "Rita Cansino"). Note that Rita Hayworth was pretty unknown at this time, and she received sixth billing, but in the original pressbook, there is a photo on the first interior page that shows her (with dark hair!) and it says "...with Ralph Morgan and Rita Cansino prominent in the cast"! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good. The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the play dates section at the bottom of the glass. Otherwise, the cardboard holder has staining around the staples, but the glass slide itself is in pretty nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
