If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tears and areas of paper loss across the top foldline. There were water stains in the "OL" of "CARROLL" at the right end of the top foldline. There were similar water stains in the right end of the bottom foldline, mostly in the orange background, but extending into Rogers' cheek. Other than the above defects, there was some minor wear on the other foldlines. There were pinholes in the corners and some creases, tears, and light water stains in the left border. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The person who backed the poster did a somewhat lesser job of repairing the above defects (although I could imagine some collectors displaying the poster "as is"). But if I owned this beautiful stone litho poster, I would have it re-backed. After proper re-backing by a talented restorer, and some additional touch up to the border defects described above, this poster would look fantastic, and there would be little paint anywhere on it except for in the exact areas of defects described above.
