An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) The Brat, the 1931 John Ford pre-Code family relationship poor-girl-rich-family romantic comedy (based on the play by Maude Fulton; about a rich novelist who meets a 17 year-old bad girl nicknamed "The Brat", and he takes her into his home, where he lives with his two live-in lovers and his mother and brother, and he intends to "rehabilitate" her, but instead she helps all the family members get their lives in order, and both brothers fall in love with her, but she ends up with the right one) starring Sally O'Neil (in the title role as The Brat), Alan Dinehart (billed as "Allan Dinehart"), Frank Albertson, Virginia Cherrill, and William Collier Sr. Note that Fox created really racy advertising for this movie (including having the star reading a book called "The Restless Virgin", but the movie, while racy in parts, was not nearly as "bad" as the advertising suggested!) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that any movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned anything other than a one-sheet (31 years ago), two lobby cards, and a few stills from this movie until we received this glass slide! Note that this is from an incredible collection of 76 glass slides that were recently discovered! Almost all of them are from 1931 to 1933 (with a very few from before and after). We are auctioning them in 76 separate auctions, and then there will be no more from this amazing find (except for a few duplicated ones, which we will auction at a later time). Not only are many wonderful titles included, but many of the slides are in remarkable condition, and quite a few of them do not have any showtimes or days of the week handwritten in the bottom area, and many likely look like they did when they were first sent to the theater! There have been several "finds" of glass slides over the many years we have been auctioning, but this is surely one of the greatest ever and it is a wonderful opportunity to purchase some or many of these extreme rarities! Also note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline).
