An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Second Chorus (released in France in 1947 as "Swing Romance"), the 1940 H.C. Potter singing-and-dancing musical romantic comedy (a wacky story of a college student who is in his seventh year, so that he can keep up the carefree college life while working in a band, but then he meets a pretty secretary and falls for her, and when she gets a job in Artie Shaw's band, the student quits college and he and his partner go to New York City to try to join Artie Shaw's band, so he can be with the girl!) starring Fred Astaire, Paulette Goddard, Artie Shaw and His Band, Charles Butterworth, and Burgess Meredith. Note that the plot of this movie was pretty weak, obviously just a vehicle to allow for lots of singing and dancing, but it was made even weaker by having 41 year old Fred Astaire playing a college student! But the movie is still enjoyable and entertaining, and the real life Artie Shaw and his band play themselves!
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.

Condition: very good. There are faint smudges scattered in the left background area and in the borders. There is a faint diagonal scuff mark in the right background area, extending into Astaire's arm. Other than the above, the card is in pretty nice condition! Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
