Seiter hotel slapstick comedy ("Mama - those men are here again!"; The Marx Bros. are in a hotel and can't pay their bill, and they refuse to leave, with many great comic scenes) starring The Marx Brothers (Groucho Marx, Chico Marx, and Harpo Marx), Lucille Ball, Ann Miller, Frank Albertson, and Cliff Dunstan. Note that not only did this movie have the Marx Bros., but it also had Lucille Ball, who a little over a decade later would become America's favorite comedienne! Artist: Al Hirschfeld Important Added Info: Note that this insert was first paperbacked at one time, and then at a later time, someone had a restorer linenback it as well (apparently so that it would be easier to frame). It does not really make much of a difference to the poster itself. Because the poster could not safely be rolled, it will need to be sent in a large flat package, so bear this in mind before placing a bid on this poster. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had an extra horizontal fold just above the regular top fold, with some creases and tiny surface paper loss on the foldlines, and some pinholes around the edges. There was an irregular tear in the center of the credits running from just above the "E" of "LUCILLE" down between the "RM" of "BERMAN". There was a scuff mark starting at the right side of the "m" of "ROOM" and going into the end of Chico's cheek. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was backed onto linen with only minimal restoration, but it still displays well (see our image). Learn More about condition grades
