An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Japanese "B3" or "Nakazuri" Movie Poster (14x20; measures 13" x 20 1/4" [33 x 51 cm]) (Learn More)

Kohayagawa-ke no aki (released in English-speaking countries as "The End of Summer"), the 1961 Yasujiro Ozu Japanese family relationship romantic melodrama starring Ganjiro Nakamura, Setsuko Hara, Yoko Tsukasa, Michiyo Aratama, and Keiju Kobayashi. Note that Yasujiro Ozu was a legendary Japanese writer and director from 1920s to the 1960s. He is likely the second best regarded Japanese director after Akira Kurosawa, and many of his films are considered classics, and his masterpiece is "Tokyo Story" from 1953, although he made movies from 1927 to 1962. First release Japanese posters of any kind from any of his movies are beyond rare!

Important Added Info: Note that first release 1961 movie paper from this Japanese movie is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned even a single movie paper item from this movie until we received this Japanese poster, which is a "country of origin" poster for this Japanese movie! Also note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 13" x 20 1/4" [33 x 51 cm]. Finally, note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good. The poster has slight discoloration scattered in some areas from exposure to moisture. It has been trimmed in portions of the edges (see our image).
