Date Sold 7/9/2023 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. a lot of 31 8x10 stills from Roman Polanski movies. Roman Polanski is a French-born Polish director from the 1950s to the present. Some of his movies include: The Pianist (winner of the Best Director Academy Award for this film), Chinatown, Rosemary's Baby, Frantic, The Fearless Vampire Killers, and Repulsion. He has acted in several of his movies, and he has unfortunately been in the news many times (and not for his movies!). His wife Sharon Tate was murdered by the Manson cult when she was 8 1/2 months pregnant with his child. In 1977, he raped a 13 year old girl, and absconded to Europe when he heard that the judge in his case was going to sentence him to 50 years in prison. Polanski hasn't been in the United States since. As of 2021, he is still alive at the age of 87. Note that the items in this lot are from the 1960s to the 1980s.
