An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Left-Handed Law, the 1937 Lesley Selander cowboy western ("Story by Charles M. Martin") starring Buck Jones, Noel Francis, Nena Quartero, Frank La Rue, Lee Shumway, Robert Frazer, Lee Phelps, George Regas, Matty Fain, Frank Lackteen, and Walter Miller. Note that Buck Jones' white horse was named Silver (just like The Lone Ranger's later on!), and Silver made 73 movies with Buck Jones from 1922 until Jones' death in 1942 in the tragic Cocoanut Grove fire. But oddly, Silver was almost never billed on the posters for Buck Jones' movies as so many other famous horses (most especially Tom Mix's Tony) were! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this one-sheet, and that was 21 years ago, when it sold for $1,265! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny tears and tiny bits of paper loss scattered on most of the vertical fold, with a lesser amount on the horizontal folds. It had pinholes around the edges, with some tears and paper loss caused by rough removal of pins. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking.
