Yet Dead! She's Dead... Yet Alive!"; "Doomed to be one of the 'walking dead' by weird and wily witchcraft... her radiant blonde loveliness ravaged through the curse of vengeful voodoo!"; "Who said the dead don't walk!"; "See It Happen - right before your startled eyes..in the screen sensation that rips the mask from the darkest secrets of forbidden voodoo!"; "Forbidden voodoo secrets sensationally revealed!"; "Voodoo... Black magic... Witchcraft... From the land of the living dead!"; "You won't believe it, but it's true!"; "Imagine yourself perhaps hungering for love - dying for just one warm kiss... yet alone in a world of people... a part of, yet apart from, everything you hold dear. Wow! What a Spot!"; "Based on an Original Story by Inez Wallace", very loosely based on the novel 'Jane Eyre' by Charlotte Bronte; "Screenplay by Curt Siodmak & Ardel Wray") starring James Ellison, Frances Dee, Tom Conway, Edith Barrett, James Bell, Christine Gordon, and Darby Jones NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that first release 1943 posters on this title have always been extremely rare! We have only previously auctioned three examples of this insert, and only one in the last 13 years, and that one sold for $2,500, and that one was in "good to very good" condition, as this one is! Likely this is because the movie was re-released in 1956, and it may well be that the original posters were either destroyed or used up during that re-release. In addition, RKO at this time used better printing for their inserts than they did for their one-sheets, and of course, the full-length female zombie image works fantastic in the insert format! Condition: good to very good. The poster was lightly folded across the middle and also 3" from the bottom border, but it has no other folds. It has faint scuff marks in the "BIE" of "ZOMBIE" in the title and slightly in the background above and below. It has a piece of yellowed tape in the center of the bottom border and in the right of the bottom border, and there are yellowed tape stains in the bottom of the right border and a diagonal one in the bottom right, partially over the NSS number. The poster has just a few tiny tears and tiny stains in the borders and a few faint creases and scuffs in the image. I would think the majority of collectors could happily display this extremely rare poster as it is, or one could have restoration performed, but that will be the choice of the new owner.
