Auer post-World War II (WWII) romantic love triangle courtroom legal lawyer crime murder melodrama ("The Dramatic Story of I, Jane Doe"; "A powerful love story... Humanly told!"; a convoluted story of a French girl on trial for murder in post-World War II America; told in flashbacks at her trial, she tells how she met a soldier during the war and she married him, but then he left her after the war, and went to the U.S., and she followed him there and discovered that he had married another woman, and when she confronted him, she killed him; she is found guilty, but it is discovered that she is pregnant, and her husband's second wife agrees to help her!) starring Ruth Hussey, John Carroll, Vera Ralston (in the title role as Annette Dubois/Jane Doe), Gene Lockhart, John Howard, Benay Venuta, Adele Mara, James Bell, and John Litel NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. The poster originally had a blank top that was neatly trimmed off (this is commonly done with Belgian posters, similar to how the blank top is trimmed off of U.S. window cards). There is separation at the crossfold at center and there is tattering around the edges of the poster. There is surface paper loss in the credits area at upper right.
