An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Three-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 41" x 81") (Learn More) Rocky Mountain, the 1950 William Keighley Civil War romantic cowboy western ("Part renegade, part hero... A Rebel whose guns turned treason into glory... For his captive Yankee girl!"; "Men as unconquerable as the peaks the fought on!"; "The rugged No-Man's-Land where Renegades and Heroes battled side by side for the love of a captive Yankee girl!"; "From a Story by Alan LeMay") starring Errol Flynn, Patrice Wymore, Scott Forbes, Guinn 'Big Boy' Williams, and Dickie Jones. Note that Errol Flynn and Patrice Wymore met while working on this film. They married and stayed together until his death 9 years later. At the time of their marriage, Flynn was 41, and Wymore was 23. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This three-sheet was printed in 2 sections. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and the restorer did a good job, but you can see signs of the restoration from inches away (since most people look at posters framed on a wall from at least a few feet away, we don't feel this is a defect, but we feel it should be noted). See below for this poster's pre-restoration condition (we are the only major auction company we know of that shares this information with our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). very good. Poster had small paper loss on some foldlines and at some crossfolds. It had minor smudges and creases throughout, as well as some tears on some foldlines and some border defects. The poster was pretty well linenbacked, but the restorer mounted the poster on a very thin linen, and did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster. At some point, the poster was roughly handled and there are now creases down the top of the left and right borders (in both the linen and the poster) and also an area in the center of the very bottom of the poster where the poster is slightly lifting off the linen.
