Artist: Rene Peron Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this French poster, which has great different art by Rene Peron! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds, with some tiny creases in the right half of the top and bottom folds and in the top quarter of the vertical fold, with a lesser amount of wear on the other folds. It had darkened somewhat around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Note that either the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster, or possibly the owner of the poster chose to carefully trim off the excess, so that the poster would fit in a frame.
