An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Herald (measures 4 1/2" x 5 1/2" [11 x 14 cm]; 4 pages) (Learn More)

The Prince Chap, the 1920 William C. de Mille (billed as "William DeMille") silent romantic family relationship romantic melodrama ("From the play by Edward Peple"; about a guy who adopts a baby girl and becomes her foster father, and after caring for her for over ten years, he realizes that "she is a little girl no longer, but a beautiful brown-eyed love dream") starring Thomas Meighan, Charles Ogle, Kathlyn Williams, Casson Ferguson, Ann Forrest, and Lila Lee. Obviously, it is extremely unlikely that this plot will ever be used again, because in today's world, a story about an older man falling in love with a teen that he "adopts" as a baby is beyond inappropriate! Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.

Important Added Info: Note that movie paper from this movie is extremely rare. We have only previously auctioned three lobby cards and a herald from this movie, and NO other movie paper of any kind. That herald has now been reconsigned to us, so it is still the only example we have ever auctioned!

Condition: good to very good.
