A 1950 Realart Re-Release Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Alfred Hitchcock's Shadow of a Doubt, the 1943 Alfred Hitchcock family relationship crime film noir ("From an Original Story by Gordon McDonell"; "Screen Play by Thornton Wilder"; about a family whose uncle comes to town to visit, and he charms his niece, but at the same time, some widows start being murdered, and the niece suspects her uncle) starring Teresa Wright, Joseph Cotten, Macdonald Carey, Patricia Collinge, Henry Travers, Wallace Ford, and Hume Cronyn NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Apparently this movie was EXTREMELY popular on its first release in 1943, or perhaps Hitchcock's other successes over the next couple of years increased interest in it, or perhaps it was due to the shortage of top movies during 1944 and 1945 (when so many stars were off at war), but this movie was re-released just three years after its first release, which is very unusual for a major Hollywood movie (and all of the re-release campaign had full color posters, with the tagline "BACK AGAIN! The great suspense drama of all time!"). THE MOVIE WAS THEN SOLD TO REALART, WHO RELEASED IT YET AGAIN IN 1950! We have auctioned one-sheets and stills from this 1950 Realart re-release, but this is THE VERY FIRST TIME we have auctioned a 1950 Realart re-release lobby card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: fair. The card was stained throughout and it had tape stains and areas of surface paper loss scattered in the image, including in the stars' faces. Someone bleached the card and performed restoration to the above defects without backing the card, but they are still very noticeable (see our images). Learn More about condition grades
