An Original Vintage Stage Play Souvenir Program Book (measures 9 1/4" x 12 1/2" [23 x 32 cm]; 17 pages) (Learn More) Charlot's Revue, the 1940s Andre Charlot World War II (WWII) stage play variety show starring Mischa Auer, Henry Fonda, Cedric Hardwicke, Rita Hayworth, Anna Neagle, and many more Hollywood stars! Note that this stage show raised money that was sent to the "British War Relief Association of Southern California". Many of the greatest stars participated in this revue, which was organized by Andre Charlot, who had discovered Jack Buchanan, Beatrice Lillie, Anna Neagle, and many other top stars in England, and had a long stage career there. In addition to the other stars in this revue listed above, were also Buster Keaton, Fanny Brice, Simone Simon, Jackie Cooper, and over 40 other top U.S. and English stars. Rita Hayworth receives a full-page image in the program, as did Simone Simon and Anna Neagle, showing that then, as always, "sex sells"! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
