An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Putney Swope, the cult classic 1969 Robert Downey Sr. advertising outrageous black sexploitation comedy ("Up Madison Ave."; "The Truth and Soul Movie"; about a black African American man who accidentally takes over a major Madison Avenue advertising agency and makes massive changes, starting with removing all of the white executives and replacing them with black ones, except for a single "token" white man) starring Arnold Johnson (in the title role as Putney Swope), Allan Arbus, Eddie Gordon, Chuck Green, Laura Greene, and Walter Jones. Note that director Downey re-dubbed all of star Arnold Johnson's lines! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster looks like it SHOULD be a teaser (due to the lack of credits), but while there is a different second style, that poster also has no credits, and that one does not have the "Up Madison Ave." tagline and the image is larger (and that one has "Cinema V" on it, which this one does not).
