Carve Her Name With Pride, the 1958 Lewis Gilbert English World War II (WWII) military biographical romantic melodrama ("Virginia McKenna in her greatest role - The inspired true life story of Violette Szabo G.C. one of the bravest women of world War II"; "An inspired true story!"; "Based on the book by R.J. Minney"; the true story of the woman who joins the British Secret Service during World War II after her husband is killed, and she is captured by the Germans and tortured and executed, but she didn't reveal what she knew, and in gratitude she was awarded the George Cross, England's highest honor at that time) starring Virginia McKenna (as Violette Szabo), Paul Scofield, Jack Warner, Denise Grey, and Maurice Ronet
