(Learn More) Don Bluth is a film director, animator, production designer, and animation instructor from the 1950s to the present. He is best known for his animated films, which include: The Secret of NIMH, An American Tail, The Land Before Time and more. He is also remembered for his involvement in the LaserDisc arcade video game Dragon's Lair, and for competing with former employer Walt Disney Productions. As of 2022, he is still alive at the age of 85. Important Added Info: Note that Don Bluth included Dom DeLuise in many of his movies. In 1980, Bluth wrote to DeLuise that he wanted him to play Jeremy the crow in his forthcoming "The Secret of NIMH", and Mr. DeLuise kept the letter. After the movie was made, Mr. Bluth gave Mr. DeLuise this animation cel created personally for him, which combines a cel from the movie with a photograph of Mr. DeLuise, and is nicely double matted with printing on the bottom of the upper mat, and Mr. DeLuise framed it and displayed it in his house and kept the letter. It has been consigned to us from Mr. DeLuise's estate, and it is 100% that both the letter and the animation cel are authentic! Condition: very good. The matted cel is in excellent condition. The letter has darkening and some stains and tears in the right side, and slight darkening on the top fold (see our images). Learn More about condition grades
