An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Style B Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) Rumba, the 1935 Marion Gering Cuba/New York romantic crime dance musical ("Dangerous Rhythm! The Dancing Stars of 'Bolero' Together Again!"; Raft and Lombard had a giant hit with "Bolero", so it was natural that the studio wanted to re-team them in a similar "dancing" romantic movie; in this one, Lombard is an heiress and Raft is a half-Cuban half-American gangster/dancer, on the run from the mob in Havana, but then he returns to New York City, and they have a falling out over a winning lottery ticket, but as you can imagine, everything works out in the end and they do some great dancing together!) starring George Raft, Carole Lombard, Margo, Lynne Overman, Monroe Owsley, Iris Adrian, and Gail Patrick NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that posters from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a window card, and NO other posters of any kind from this movie until we received this half-sheet! Also note that this poster is very old, and it would not make sense to attempt to roll it, as the paper is fragile and rolling it would surely damage it. Therefore we must be sent in a very large flat package. Please bear that extra shipping cost in mind BEFORE placing a bid on this poster! Condition: good. The poster was never machine folded, but someone once partially folded it down the middle, and there is the faintest partial crease in that area. There are scuffs in the center of the poster, in Raft's pants. There are four areas of paper loss in the blank borders, and staining in the lower right border. There is darkening and smudges in the borders and a much lesser amount within the image. Obviously, this great and incredibly rare poster can be restored, but please bear its condition in mind before placing a bid on it. Learn More about condition grades
