If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a very interesting poster! We have seen this image on a 1960s re-release Belgian poster, and we would think that there was surely a much earlier Belgian poster with the same image. But this poster does not seem like it can possibly be Belgian, both because it does not measure the earlier large Belgian size, and also because it has a logo in the top left corner which says "UNION FILMS AFRIQUE". A knowledgeable collector tells us that this poster was likely used in the Belgian Congo (which was a Belgian colony in Africa) and that certainly seems likely, given the "African map" in the top left corner (and note that it has an RKO logo, which would seem to surely date the poster to the 1950s or earlier, and it also has a "1950s" feel to the paper quality). If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster was roughly folded like a U.S. one-sheet, and there were extra folds to the left and right of all the regular ones, with some creases, scuffs, and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of the folds. There were a few tears on parts of some folds as well. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to linenbacking. Considering the poster's many defects, the person who backed it did a really nice job, because it displays pretty well from any reasonable viewing distance, but you can see that it had a lot of restoration when you look at it close up. Still, it will display well on the new owner's wall! Learn More about condition grades
