The Phantom of the West, the 1930 D. Ross Lederman cowboy western serial ("An All-Talking Serial in 10 Thrilling Chapters"; written by Ford Beebe) starring Tom Tyler, ("with a great supporting cast including") William Desmond, Tom Santschi, Dorothy Gulliver, Joe Bonomo (famous strong man who vied with Charles Atlas for the "Most Perfect Man", he appeared in 32 movies, but like Atlas, his primary business was selling books and pamphlets telling how to acquire a body like his!), Tom Dugan, "and others"

Condition: very good. There are creases and smudges across both horizontal foldlines and some creases and smudges around the edges of the poster. There are some light water stains in the extreme left of the image. The poster has smudges and stains along some of the foldlines and in the center of the poster and water staining in the center of the bottom of the poster. In spite of the above defects, I think it is very fair to say that the poster has survived surprisingly well after 75 years, and I think many collectors could happily display this great poster just as it is!

This week we have given a more detailed overall condition grade along with more details about the condition described in words. Of course, we could not describe every single defect, plus there are some defects (like creasing, tape on the back, extremely tiny pinholes, etc) which can be VERY difficult to see, even in our largest "super-sized" image. Therefore we strongly recommend that you BOTH read our written description of the item, AND ALSO look at our super-sized image to see the extent of the defects that we describe and to examine the poster for minor defects that we did NOT describe.
