An Autographed Letter (measures 6 1/2" x 9 1/4" [17 x 23 cm]) (Learn More)

Lizabeth Scott (born Emma Matzo) was an actress from the 1940s to the 1970s. She is best known for her roles in 1940s film noirs, often with Burt Lancaster. She was one of many beautiful young actresses who was signed to a personal contract by Hal Wallis, and he orchestrated her career, as he did with many others! Some of her movies include: The Strange Love of Martha Ivers, Dead Reckoning, The Racket, Loving You, and Pulp. She passed away in 2015 at the age of 92.
Important Added Info: Note that this letter has been personally autographed (signed) by Lizabeth Scott (it is completely handwritten on her personal stationery; she signed as "Scotty", which was her nickname)! The letter is not dated, but she references life being drab in Hollywood compared to having been on stage, and she went from Broadway to Hollywood in 1943, so there is an excellent chance it is from that time. Also note that the item comes with a "certificate of authenticity" from Piece of the Past.

As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased (although we prefer they do any "authenticating" while the auction is "live" and before they place a bid) and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes.

Condition: very good.
