An Undated (probably 1940s) Re-Release Folded Special Movie Poster (measures 21" x 28 1/4" [53 x 72 cm]) (Learn More) Dillinger (released in other English-speaking countries as "The Mobster"), the 1945 Max Nosseck based-on-a-true-story historical biographical crime thriller ("His story is written in bullets, blood, and blondes!"; "Shock-by-Shock story of the most notorious bandit of our times!"; "He left his mark on the roaring thirties!"; "He robbed 16 banks! Broke jail 4 times! Committed 9 cold-blooded murders! Had over 5,000 law men on his trail!!! -And it took a 'woman in red' to bring his downfall!") starring Edmund Lowe, Anne Jeffreys, Eduardo Ciannelli, Marc Lawrence, Elisha Cook Jr., and Lawrence Tierney (in the title role; billed as "Introducing Lawrence Tierney as John Dillinger"; the producers of the movie were bending the truth with Tierney's credit, because he had had six very minor parts prior to this starring role) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this movie played in many small theaters around the country in the years following its initial 1945 release (sometimes in single late night showings, similar to the "midnight shows" of the 1960s). This specific poster was printed by the "Central Show Prtg. Co. Inc." of Iowa, and, given the "ONE NIGHT ONLY" printed at the top, it is surely from one of those showings, likely from the late 1940s. Note also that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: very good to fine. Learn More about condition grades
