If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this Belgian poster! Also note that this is a rare "pre-War" Belgian poster. Prior to World War II, Belgian posters were much larger than the ones from after the war, and they are extremely rare (because during WWII, there was a massive paper shortage in Belgium, and they took virtually every poster and map, and printed new posters on the backs of them!). What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster was folded like a U.S. one-sheet, with an extra vertical fold 3" to the left of the regular one. There were some creases, scuffs, and fine surface paper loss on parts of all the folds. There were some creases in the right of Lake's hair at the center of the poster. There was a Belgian stamp in the lower right background area by the little boy, and it was removed, causing surface paper loss. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. Many years ago, someone backed the poster onto thin linen with no excess. Learn More about condition grades
