An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Loco Boy Makes Good, the 1942 Jules White slapstick comedy short ("A Columbia Short-Subject Presentation"; the Stooges plan to swindle a hotel by having Curly slip on a bar of soap and claim damages to his body, but the hotel is run by a kindly old lady facing bankruptcy, so they decide to help her instead, and fix the hotel up and put on a show!) starring The Three Stooges (Moe Howard, Larry Fine, and Curly Howard), Dorothy Appleby, John Tyrell, Symona Boniface, and Lynton Brent NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper from this Three Stooges short is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned even a single movie paper item from this movie until we received this lobby card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. What IS gelbacking? Learn More Condition: good to very good. The card had approximately 1/2" trimmed from the right blank border. It had pinholes, stains, and smudges around the edges, with a few smudges and scuffs scattered in the image. Overall, the card was in good condition prior to restoration. A talented restorer gel backed the card (meaning they backed the card onto a gel material) and they then performed restoration to the above defects, and then removed the gel backing, so that the card still looks and feels like an original card (and it is!), with no backing at all. Given the card's defects described above, the restorer did a pretty good job, but you can see signs of the defects and the restoration, but the card displays pretty well (see our super-sized images to get a good sense of exactly how the card looks now).
