An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Meet King Joe, the 1949 John Sutherland animated animation cartoon short. The director of this cartoon had worked for Walt Disney, and he went off on his own because he wanted to make his own cartoons. He found a backer in Harding College (now Harding University), which financed cartoons about economic theory, which they showed in their college economics classes, and which also were released to the general public by MGM! This particular cartoon explains that American capitalism makes every man a "King", because even a factory worker is able to afford all kinds of wonderful new inventions like the latest cars and appliances! The poster has a corrugated pattern of faint staining on back suggesting that it was stored on or next to cardboard, however, it is not as noticeable on the front as it is on the back (see our image), but there is some slight discoloration at upper center and lower center. There is separation along a few portions of the upper vertical foldline (repaired with tape from the back) and there is small separation at the bottom of the vertical foldline (also repaired with tape from the back). There are a few tears of varying lengths around the edges that are mostly repaired with tape from the back (mainly at upper left and in the lower quarter). After proper restoration the poster will display well, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it. Learn More about condition grades
