An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) A Double Life, the 1947 George Cukor ("Two men lived and loved behind this face!"; nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) mental illness crime film noir ("Written by Ruth Gordon and Garson Kanin"; about a Shakespearean stage actor who begins to confuse his stage roles with his personal life, with disastrous results!) starring Ronald Colman (winner of the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Signe Hasso, Edmond O'Brien, Shelley Winters, Ray Collins, Philip Loeb, Millard Mitchell, Joe Sawyer, John Derek (in a bit part; his third uncredited movie role!), and Paddy Chayefsky (in his first movie role!). Note that Shelley Winters was fourth billed in this movie, but it was the part that brought her fame! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Some pre-1970 half-sheet posters were machine folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 half-sheet posters (note that most post-1970 half-sheets were NOT machine folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those half-sheets). Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It has smudges around the edges and some smudges and light scuffs in portions of the image.
