An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Australian One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 28" x 40") (Learn More) Humoresque, the 1946 Jean Negulesco tragic romantic melodrama ("A woman with a stormy heart she couldn't control!"; "A beautiful woman is most dangerous when she's in love!"; "'Love me now,' she said, 'hate me later'... and then all the warmth of their nearness engulfed these two who met and kissed and shouldn't have met again!"; "Screen Play by Clifford Odets and Zachary Gold"; "Based on a Story by Fannie Hurst"; about a rich society woman who becomes obsessed with a much younger brilliant violinist; he returns her love, but also loves a much younger woman, with tragic consequences; sort of a cross between "Golden Boy" and "Sunset Boulevard") starring Joan Crawford ("The winner of the 1945 Academy award for 'Mildred Pierce' in another history-making role!"), John Garfield, Oscar Levant, J. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the bottom crossfold and minor wear along the foldlines. 1" of the left, top, and right borders were folded back at one time and there were pinholes, creases, smudges, and some tears around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Learn More about condition grades
