An Original Vintage Theatrical 10 1/2" x 13 1/2" [27 x 34 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) The Song of Songs, the 1933 Rouben Mamoulian romantic love triangle melodrama ("Thrill to the new Dietrich! - the woman of flame and desire!"; "From the story by Hermann Sudermann and the play by Edward Sheldon"; about a social climbing German peasant girl who falls in love with a sculptor and poses for a nude statue, but then she marries a rich baron because the sculptor won't commit; it is an unhappy marriage, and she leaves her husband and becomes a cabaret singer, sinking lower and lower before finally reuniting with her true love, the sculptor) starring Marlene Dietrich, Brian Aherne, Hardie Albright, Lionel Atwill, and Alison Skipworth. Note that actor Richard Bennett was originally cast in the role that eventually went to Lionel Atwill, and advertising was prepared crediting Bennett! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this still measures 10 1/2" x 13 1/2" [27 x 34 cm], but it has not been trimmed. Condition: fair. The still was mounted onto a piece of foamcore. There is paper loss in the bottom left corner that affects the "M" of "Marlene". There is a horizontal crease across the top of the image going through Dietrich's shoulders. The still has many other defects. Obviously, this wonderful still could be restored, but bear in mind its very significant defects before bidding on it. Learn More about condition grades
