The Folies Bergere is a cabaret music hall established in 1869 in Paris, France. Revues featured extravagant costumes, sets and effects, and often nude women. In 1926, Josephine Baker caused a sensation at the Folies Bergere by dancing in a costume consisting of a skirt made of a string of artificial bananas and little else. It has been the stage for many other famous acts including: Maurice Chevalier, Fernandel, W.C. Fields, Ella Fitzgerald, and many, many more!

Important Added Info: Note that this poster is for the famous French stage show. It is NOT the size of a French one-panel, but rather measures the size listed above, which is close to the Italian poster size, but it is definitely a French poster printed in France. It is also on a slightly heavier paper stock than that of most French posters. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Condition: very good to fine. The poster was never folded and has very minor border wear.
