Long Fliv the King, the 1926 Leo McCarey silent royalty romantic comedy short (produced by Hal Roach; about a princess whose father the king dies but she cannot become a queen unless she is married within 24 hours, so she marries a man condemned to death, but later the man is pardoned without her knowledge and he goes to her country to find her and he is recognized as king, and the woman's new suitor hires a man to kill him in a duel!) starring Charley Chase (primarily remembered as a great silent comedian who appeared in 276 movies, most of them comedy shorts, Chase also directed 140 comedy shorts), Oliver Hardy, Martha Sleeper, Max Davidson, Fred Malatesta, John Aasen, and Helen Gilmore. Note that director Leo McCarey, who had directed some thirty comedy shorts in 1924 and 1925 prior to this one, would later go on to much bigger successes, including the classic "Going My Way"!

Important Added Info: Note that movie paper from this film is incredibly rare. We have only auctioned a single lobby card and one still from this film but NO other movie paper from it whatsoever!

Condition: good. The two cards pictured at left have paper loss along portions of the blank borders and pencil writing at left. The other card has paint on the back (someone literally wrote "FRESH PAINT" and it was used as a sign) that discolors the front. Please see our super-sized images to get a good sense of the condition of these items prior to placing a bid.
