An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) The Witness Chair, the 1936 George Nichols Jr. courtroom legal lawyer crime murder romantic love triangle melodrama (a really far fetched story of a woman who is secretary to a man who is accused of murdering his boss; the boss was found dead with a typed confession, but subsequently, evidence was found pointing at the guilt of his employee; the employee's secretary testifies against him, even though she is in love with him, and at the end of a wild murder trial, it turns out that she had killed the man while trying to get him to confess at gunpoint, and even more ridiculous, the judge lets her off because it was self defense, and she is free to marry the man she loves) starring Ann Harding, Walter Abel, Douglass Dumbrille, Frances Sage, Moroni Olsen, and Margaret Hamilton NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this one-sheet, and that was 23 years ago, when it sold for $595, and this may be that same poster! Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some tiny paper loss and tiny tears on small parts of the folds. It had pinholes, tears, and tiny paper loss in the borders. It had a long clean tear (with no paper loss) running from the center of Harding's neck, down through her hand, and going to the background to the right of it (it was somewhat semi-circular).
