An Original Vintage Theatrical Oversized English Movie Still (measures 15 3/4" x 20" [40 x 51 cm]) (Learn More)

The Wandering Jew, the 1933 (released in the U.S. in 1935) Maurice Elvey English religious fantasy melodrama (based on the play by E. Temple Thurston; about a Jewish man present at Christ's crucifixion, who spits upon Jesus and because of that, he is sentenced to remain alive until Christ returns, and the play follows him through the centuries until finally he commits blasphemy during the Spanish Inquisition, and he is sentenced to death, which he is glad to accept, so he can finally end his "wandering") starring Conrad Veidt (in the title role as Matathias), Marie Ney, Basil Gill (as Pontius Pilate), Cicely Oates, Anne Grey, and Dennis Hoey

Important Added Info: Note that ANY first release English movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned an English pressbook from this movie (and NO other English movie paper of any kind) until we received this oversized English 16x20 still, which is a "country of origin" item for this English movie! We are also currently auctioning an English promo book in a separate auction. Also note that this English still measures 15 3/4" x 20" [40 x 51 cm].

Note that this large English still could not possibly be rolled, and it must be sent in a large flat package that measures approximately 18" x 22", so bear this added expense in mind before bidding on this poster.

Condition: good. The photo has stains and surface paper loss across the bottom and a lesser amount across the top. There are some tiny areas of paper loss and a 1" thin strip of paper loss in the lower left background area. This incredibly rare photo can be displayed as it is, or certainly restoration can be performed.
