She was also crowned Miss America in 1941! Some of her movies include: Two Weeks to Live, Strangler of the Swamp, Angels' Alley, Federal Agents vs. Underworld, Inc., and Betty Co-Ed. La Planche passed away in 1979 at the age of 55 Important Added Info: Note that the two stills at left have an interesting hand-written note on the back! The one at upper left has: "Ric - my husband who owned Western Fashions made the sportswear here - Aunt Louise" and the other has "Ric - my husband's factory also made Army nurse's uniforms as pictured - Aunt Louise". Someone also wrote "Ann Sheridan" on the back of each, but they were guessing, and they are wrong. Note also that these stills have been trimmed and they now measure 7 3/4" x 9 3/4" [20 x 25 cm].
