Soldiers - Sailors & Women Guests, the 1918 U.S. World War I (WWI) poster ("Welcome to the Y.W.C.A. Hostess House"; "'A bit of home within the camps'") featuring Walter Tittle art of a soldier shaking hands with a sailor as a woman watches. Apparently these Y.W.C.A. hostess houses were at training camps within the U.S., where soldiers prepared to go to France.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was never folded. It had a 3" and a 4" crease or tear in the upper right border. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above.
