Date Sold 7/12/2020Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Our Hospitality, the classic 1923 John G. Blystone & Buster Keaton silent family feud romantic screwball comedy ("Hospitality welcome!"; "A Metro Picture [in 7 parts]"; set in Kentucky in the 1830s, it is a parody on the famous feud of the Hatfields and the McCoys; here they are called the Canfields and McKays, and Buster Keaton is sent away as a baby [and that baby is played by Buster Keaton's 1 year old son, Buster Keaton Jr.!], so he won't grow up to be involved in the feud, but when he grows up, he gets a telegram that his father has died, and he returns home, and he falls for a girl from the rival family, which makes the family members set on killing him!) starring Buster Keaton, Joe Roberts, Ralph Bushman, Craig Ward, Monte Collins, and Natalie Talmadge (Keaton's real life wife, as "The Girl"). Note that Natalie Talmadge was the much less known sister of Constance and Norma Talmadge. She only appears in a few films in the 1910s, and then she married Buster Keaton in 1921. She co-starred with him in this movie (while she was pregnant with their second son during filming). They divorced in 1932, and it was a very bitter divorce. She legally changed the name of son Robert to "Robert Talmadge", and she became an alcoholic. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned this card once before, and that was two years ago, when it sold for $415, and the buyer has now re-consigned that same card to us, so this is still the only example of this card we have ever auctioned! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. There are tiny bits of paper loss near the center of the top blank border and small paper loss in the bottom right blank corner. There are smudges and stains around the edges. There is some faint scuffing scattered in the solid colored areas of the image, but it is mostly only noticeable when the card is tilted to the light. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back! Learn More about condition grades
