An Original Vintage Linenbacked Argentinean Poster (measures 29 1/2" x 43 3/4" [75 x 111 cm]) (Learn More) Tarzan, the 1940s stock poster used by theaters outside the U.S. that were showing re-releases of Bruce Bennett Tarzan movies (he is billed on posters as "Herman Brix", and "Herman Brix, Olympic Champion"). Note that some stock posters had a blank area where the specific title of the film being shown could be overprinted or a snipe applied. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster was folded extra times, resulting in extra horizontal folds. It had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some paper loss in the center of the poster in the yellow background area. It had darkening, small stains, and pinholes around the edges, and smudges and scuffs scattered in the solid colored areas. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
