An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Style A Half-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 22" x 28") (Learn More) Some Like It Hot, the classic 1959 Billy Wilder (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) romantic musical cross-dressing drag crime comedy ("Hot!!!"; about two out of work musicians who happen to witness the St. Valentine's Day Massacre in Chicago, and they need to leave town in a hurry, but the only jobs they can get is with an all-girl band, and they dress in drag, and one of the band members is Marilyn Monroe!) starring Marilyn Monroe ("and her bosom companions"), Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), George Raft, Pat O'Brien, and Joe E. Brown (the great star of 1920s and 1930s slapstick comedy, who practically steals this movie with a wonderful comic performance and an unforgettable final line!) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has never been machine folded! Most half-sheet posters were folded once horizontally and once vertically right off of the printing press. It is very difficult to find an unfolded example of most half-sheets, especially from before 1970! Condition: very good. Note that there are some creases and smudges in the left and right of the poster (slightly extending into the yellow background area), but that otherwise, the poster is in really wonderful condition! There was tape on the back of the corners (likely to attach it to a backing board), and it is no longer there, but there are faint yellow tape stains in the corners and some light surface paper loss on the back of the top right corner (but it does not affect the front at all). There are tiny pinholes in the bottom corners. This great poster was never folded, and I would think it would be difficult to find another example of it in equal condition, and there might be an example in better condition, but the differences would be small!
