The person who purchased it did not want to pay the shipping, so they reconsigned it to us, so it is still the ONLY example of this poster we have ever auctioned. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. The poster surely had some small tears and tiny paper loss on parts of many folds. It had tears in the upper right of Peck's jacket and the upper arm of the jacket, with surface paper loss. It also had a diagonal tear going through the top of the "E" of "PECK". It had tears and stains in the right of the fold going through the top of the title and in the bottom of the fold going through the left of the "a" of "romane". Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. Someone years ago backed the poster and did restoration to the above defects, except for the tears in Peck's jacket. The poster was displayed and the pinks in the poster faded to a lighter color, but the restoration paint stayed the same color, so it is very noticeable. Also, it acquired stains in the top right corner, both in the pink background and in the top blank border.
