It was founded by a group of nine artists and one advising businessman in to promote the art of illustration and, since 1959, has held an annual exhibition. During the World War I (WWI) years members created many original poster designs, including James M. Flagg's U.S. Army iconic recruiting poster of Uncle Sam, as well as advertising of the massive War Bond effort. Artist: Bob Peak Condition: very good. The poster was never folded. It has light creases scattered in various areas and some tiny tears at upper left. There are some tape stains on back of the corners, but they have little or no effect on the front.
