An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Farley Granger was an actor from the 1940s to the 2000s. He was signed by Samuel Goldwyn in 1943 when he was 18, and he had two significant roles, but then joined the army. After getting out of the army, he made They Live By Night for Nicholas Ray, and he had great success with Rope and Strangers on a Train, both for Alfred Hitchcock. In 1954, he starred in Senso in Italy for Visconti. He moved to New York, where he spent the next 13 years on TV and on Broadway. He then returned to Italy and made a series of films there. He passed away in 2011 at the age of 85. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Farley Granger! Also note that this still measures 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm]. Note that our consignor purchased a collection of autographed stills that were collected by Leonard Sorgi, who was a unit manager for ABC for shows like The Soupy Sales Show, The Jerry Mahony Show, and many others. He was also Unit Manager for the Academy Awards for a number of years, and during his long and varied career, he met many celebrities and obtained autographs from them in person (often personalized to him).
