Date Sold 11/26/2020 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 4 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Keeper of the Bees, the 1935 Christy Cabanne post-World War I (WWI) military veteran romantic melodrama ("Gene Stratton-Porter's famous novel"; about a World War I veteran with what is now called PTSD, and he finds a happy little village run by a man called "The Bee Keeper", and everybody in the town is so cheerful that he is brought out of his deep depression) starring Neil Hamilton, Betty Furness, Emma Dunn, Edith Fellowes and Hobart Bosworth. Note that Betty Furness did not have a giant movie career, but she went on to a TV quiz show career (and as a consumer affairs expert), and star Neil Hamilton gained fame much later as Commissioner Gordon on TV's "Batman". Finally, Edith Fellowes was a juvenile actress of the 1930s who never had major roles, but who added much in supporting roles in many movies, including in this one! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is one of 26 groups of lobby cards that we are auctioning in 26 different auctions. The cards were all found at the same time, and they are all from 1934 or 1935, and many of them are from extremely rare titles. HOWEVER, ALL ARE HEAVILY STAINED AND HAVE OTHER DEFECTS. But of course, any or all of them could be restored, but bear in mind their VERY significant condition defects before bidding on them. Condition: poor to fair. As noted above, these cards are stained and have other defects, as clearly seen in our super-sized images. THEY ARE IN URGENT NEED OF PROFESSIONAL RESTORATION.
