Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Poster (measures 5 3/4" x 12 1/2") (Learn More) Splendor, the 1935 Elliott Nugent romantic rich-family-goes-broke-and-pins-hope-on-single-son comedy ("Screenplay by Rachel Crothers"; about a young man whose rich family goes broke, and they want him to marry a rich woman so that they can regain their former stature, but then he disappoints them by marrying a beautiful, but poor, woman) starring Miriam Hopkins, Joel McCrea, Paul Cavanagh, Helen Westley, Billie Burke, David Niven (in his third credited movie role!), Ruth Weston, and Arthur Treacher NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that the studios created "mini-24-sheets" for several of their biggest releases of the mid-1930s. These were intended to be displayed at the box office so that a person would immediately know what movie was currently playing. They never really caught on, and I have only seen a handful of these over all the years I have sold movie posters (and each has been from a different movie). It is a real shame that they are so rare, as they are a very nice size, sort of a horizontal mini-window card. They can be easily be displayed in any of many ways! Condition: very good to fine. card has darkened slightly with age; 2" vertical scuff line in the "L" in "SPLENDOR" in the title as wella s some minor scuffs and smudges throughout the card; writing on the back of the card that does not appear to have any effect on the front Learn More about condition grades
