An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) By Candlelight, the 1933 James Whale mistaken identity romantic comedy ("From the great stage success by Seigfried Geyer"; a forgotten but apparently excellent pre-Code romantic comedy with a valet to a Count posing as the Count to win a beautiful lady who he thinks is a Countess, but actually, she is the maid of the Countess) starring Elissa Landi, Paul Lukas, Nils Asther, Esther Ralston, Dorothy Revier, Lawrence Grant, Warburton Gamble, and Lois January. Note that this movie was directed by James Whale, who is of course far better known for his direction of Universal horror classics, but this movie makes one wish he had directed more romantic comedies! Important Added Info: Note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. There is a stain in the top left corner. Otherwise, the card is in nice condition.
