An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Sandflow, the 1937 Lesley Selander cowboy western ("Story by Cherry Wilson") starring Buck Jones, Lita Chevret, Bob Kortman, Arthur Aylesworth, Bob Terry (billed as "Robert Terry"), Enrique de Rosas, and Silver. Note that Buck Jones' white horse was named Silver (just like The Lone Ranger's later on!), and Silver made 73 movies with Buck Jones from 1922 until Jones' death in 1942 in the tragic Cocoanut Grove fire. But oddly, Silver was almost never billed on the posters for Buck Jones' movies as so many other famous horses (most especially Tom Mix's Tony) were! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tiny tears and tiny areas of paper loss scattered down the entire vertical foldline and there were once some pieces of tape on the back that slightly bled through to the front. There was similar tape on the back of most of the horizontal folds. There were pinholes, tears, and areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
