The Great Gatsby, the 1974 Jack Clayton idle rich romantic melodrama ("Gone is the romance that was so divine"; "Screenplay by Francis Ford Coppola", "Based on the 1925 novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald") starring Robert Redford (in the title role as Jay Gatsby), Mia Farrow (as Daisy Buchanan), Karen Black, Scott Wilson, Sam Waterston (as Nick Carraway), Lois Chiles (as Jordan Baker), Bruce Dern ("as Tom" Buchanan), and Howard Da Silva (as Meyer Wolfsheim). Note that there was a 1926 movie based on this classic novel, starring Warner Baxter, that was released just a year after the book was published, and then a remake in 1949 with Alan Ladd in the lead role, and then this version, which was followed by a remake in 2013 with Leonardo DiCaprio.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was tri-folded only and it had fine surface paper loss on parts of some foldlines (typical of high-gloss posters of this period). Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
