An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

Casey at the Met(s), the 1965 New York City baseball sports comedy documentary ("It's the greatest... and the funniest 'inside' story every told... about fabulous Casey Stengel and the 'romance' he sparked between the big city and a baseball team!"; about the hapless New York Mets and their manager) featuring Casey Stengel, Richie Ashburn, Roger Craig, Larry Elliot, Jim Hickman, Ron Hunt, Alvin Jackson, Frank Thomas, and Carlton Willey. Note that the New York Mets were an expansion team after the Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Giants both left New York for California, and it was filled with second rate rejects from other teams, but in spite of their massive number of losses (or perhaps because of it) and because of their colorful manager, the team became incredibly popular in New York City, one of the few losing teams ever to find great fan appeal! Ironically, Stengel, who was 75 when this movie was released, retired right after the movie's opening, and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame the following year.
