An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Casey at the Bat, the 1954 Jack Kinney animated animation sports baseball cartoon comedy short ("A musical recitation cartoon presenting the talents of Jerry Colonna"; an animated version of the classic baseball poem by Ernest Lawrence Thayer) featuring the voices of John Brown, Dessie Flynn, James MacDonald, Norma Swank, and Jerry Colonna (as the narrator). Note that this short was first released as part of the 1946 cartoon compilation Make Mine Music, but this is the first time that it was released as a stand-alone short, and therefore we list it as a first release, because it never was released on its own prior to 1954. Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some separation and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of the folds. It had tiny pinholes around the edges. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. After the poster was backed, it was displayed, and the reds in the poster changed to a lighter red color. We know this occurred after linenbacking, because you can see a couple of areas in the folds where there is red restoration paint that now is noticeable because of the different color. The new owner of this extremely rare poster can leave it as it is, or choose to perform restoration to what ever degree they want, but that will be the choice of the high bidder.
