An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

We Are The Marines, the 1942 Louis De Rochemont World War II (WWII) military documentary ("A Full-Length Fighting Feature!"; "Produced by The March of Time in Cooperation with the U.S. Marine Corps") narrated by Westbrook Van Voorhis. Note that this feature length film was released after Pearl Harbor, when the U.S. entered World War II. It shows the entire history of the Marine Corps, from Colonial times to the then-present day, and it includes documentary footage, but it also includes reenactments that are blended in with the documentary footage.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster! The last one we auctioned was over 22 years ago!

Condition: fair to good. The poster is rippled and has some slight discoloration due to exposure to moisture (more so in the right half). There is a large tear at lower center and several areas of separation along portions of the vertical foldline (with some paper loss) and the separation makes the poster somewhat fragile. There is some paper loss around the edges (partially repaired with tape from the back at upper left and upper right - see our image). Certainly the poster could be restored and linenbacked and it would look great, but please bear in mind its defects and cost of restoration before placing a bid.
